MATERIALS
The founders of ALEGER are committed to sourcing knitwear materials exclusively from responsible suppliers that prioritise transparency and environmental care.
We work with four trusted yarn partners, each known for excellence and strict quality controls from raw fiber to finished yarn—ensuring full traceability and consistent standards. All cashmere suppliers are certified by The Good Cashmere Standard, reflecting sustainable sourcing and responsible farming practices. Furthermore, all of our cotton fibres are farmed organically.
100% CASHMERE
Our signature Cashmere yarn is made from premium fibers sourced from Inner Mongolia With an average micron of 15.2–15.8µm, our yarn is exceptionally buttery soft and luxurious while being durable and long-lasting. It's 2-3 times warmer than merino wool due to it's finer, lofty fibres.
70% WOOL 30% CASHMERE
The wool in our cashmere blend yarns is bought from suppliers certified with the responsible wool standard. The 70% Wool 30% Cashmere blend is produced using 40% recycled wool.
85% PIMA COTTON 15% CASHMERE
This yarn is made from a blend of American-grown Pima cotton and cashmere. Pima’s extra-long staple fibers provide superior strength, softness, and better dye absorption. The result is a more durable, pill-resistant yarn that helps us create longer-lasting, high-quality garments.
95% ORGANIC COTTON 5% CASHMERE
Our superior quality 95% Organic Cotton 5% Cashmere yarn, is OSC (Organic Content Standard) certified and fully traceable..

PACKAGING
We know that every little bit counts so we carefully select packaging that ensures a lighter load on the environment.
The clear garment polybags protecting our knits are made with 100% recycled LDPE (low density polyethylene) and can be recycled after use.
All on-line orders are packed in poly-bags which are made from plant-based plastics and are compostable.
To protect our knitwear from moisture during its journey, we use a plastic-free desiccant made from natural bentonite clay that is packaged in biodegradable FSC-certified Kraft paper.
Where we can, we use recycled paper including our hang-tags, packing slips and tissue paper.
